3. Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 1er Les Pucelles 1994 (magnum)
1994 worst vintage of the 90s, apart from 1998.
Lots of rain, good growing season but bad harvest weather.
Slight SO2, developed, ripe white fruit; greenish tinges, fresh acidity but rounded, bitter finish, medium fruit concentration, mid length. Slightly dull!
"Older" profile of white Burgundy

1990: warm year, might lose sense of place
Minty, richness of flavour, developed, refined; great freshness, nutty, full fruit concentration, lots of acidity, massive brightness, oriental spices, the acidity continues until the end!
5. Comte Armand Pommard Clos des Epeneaux 1er 2003
Very pretty floral, red crushed fruit nose, attractive , ripe fruit; balanced acidity, full fruit concentration, rich but balanced, long finish.
Very well done, great example of 2003.
2003 is rather cooked RED fruit, not black fruit!
6. Ponsot Clos de la Roche 1996 (magnum)
Layered aromatics, developed forest fruit, intriguing, deep red fruit; great fruit concentration paired with good freshness, delicate aromas, liveliness, vibrancy, long, balanced, pure.
Clos de la Roche: blue fruit, muscular, tannins firmer than Clos St. Denis, more austere
7. Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache 2000
Darker red colour, deep fruit profile, wild strawberries, developed, noble; lifted, great start with freshness, deep fruit concentration, concentrated mid-palate, complex, long, layered. Comes
back with lots of concentration!
8. Rousseau Mazy-Chambertin 1976
1976: hot and dry year
Tawny, amber colour but held very well, layered, massive complexity, very lenghty finish!
